1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 WD Elements Desktop Hard Drive Setup

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the desktop drive and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Connect one end of the USB 3.0 cable to the desktop drive's USB port.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  4. The drive is plug-and-play ready for Windows PCs (Windows 10, 8.1, 7). It will be automatically recognized by your system.
