5. Setup
Before operating your WORX Maker WX744.9, ensure you have a WORX MAKERX Hub, a compatible 20V PowerShare battery, and a charger (all sold separately).

6.1 Powering On and Temperature Setting
- After connecting the tool to the MAKERX Hub with a charged battery, press and hold the Power button on the tool until the digital display illuminates.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the desired temperature. The tool can reach up to 480°C.
- The tool heats rapidly, typically reaching the set temperature in under 30 seconds. The digital display will show the current temperature as it heats up.
6.2 Using the Tool
Once the desired temperature is reached, you can begin your work. Always place the hot tool on the included iron holder when not actively in use.
- Soldering: Apply the hot tip to the joint to be soldered, then introduce solder. Ensure good contact for efficient heat transfer.

To turn off the tool, press and hold the Power button until the digital display turns off. Disconnect the tool from the MAKERX Hub when not in use.
