Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the air filter from the back or side of the unit (refer to diagram in full manual if available).
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it. Do not use a dishwasher or hot water.
  5. Reinsert the dry filter into the unit.

Emptying the Water Bucket

When the water bucket is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Empty the bucket as follows:

  1. Gently pull out the water bucket from the front of the unit.
  2. Carefully carry the bucket to a sink or drain.
  3. Pour out the collected water.
  4. Replace the empty bucket firmly back into the dehumidifier. The unit will resume operation automatically.

Continuous Drainage

For continuous operation without emptying the bucket, you can connect a garden hose (not included) to the drainage port.

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Locate the drainage port on the back or side of the unit.
  3. Remove the plastic cap (if present).
  4. Thread a standard garden hose onto the drainage port. Ensure it is securely tightened to prevent leaks.
  5. Route the hose downwards to a floor drain or suitable receptacle, ensuring there are no kinks or sharp bends that could impede water flow.
  6. Plug the unit back in. The water will now drain continuously.

Storage

If the unit will not be used for an extended period:

  1. Unplug the unit and empty the water bucket.
  2. Clean the air filter.
  3. Allow the unit to dry for 24 hours before storing to prevent mold or mildew.
  4. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
