Setup and Installation

Water Removal Options:
Your Perfect Aire dehumidifier offers two convenient methods for water removal:
- Manual Bucket Emptying: The unit collects moisture in an easy-to-remove internal bucket. When the bucket is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Simply slide out the bucket, empty the collected water, and reinsert it to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage: For hands-free operation, connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a nearby floor drain or sump pump. This allows water to drain continuously, eliminating the need to empty the bucket.

Operating Instructions
The dehumidifier features a user-friendly soft-touch electronic control panel for easy operation.

Control Panel Functions:
- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Digital Humidistat: Allows you to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 45-55% for optimal comfort). The unit will operate to maintain this level.
- Comfort Mode: Automatically adjusts the humidity level based on the room's ambient temperature for optimal comfort and efficiency.
- Turbo Mode: Selects the highest fan speed for maximum moisture removal in highly humid conditions.
- 24-Hour Timer: Program the unit to turn on or off automatically after a set period, offering flexible operation.
- Filter Light: Illuminates to remind you when the air filter needs to be checked and cleaned (typically every 250 hours of use).
- Full Bucket Indicator: A light indicates when the water collection bucket is full and needs to be emptied.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient performance of your dehumidifier.
Cleaning the Air Filter:
The dehumidifier is equipped with a reusable, washable air filter. When the filter light illuminates on the control panel, it's time to clean the filter. To do so:
- Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
- Locate the air filter access panel (typically on the side or back of the unit).
- Carefully remove the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- Plug in the dehumidifier and reset the filter indicator if necessary (refer to your control panel instructions).

Emptying the Water Bucket:
If you are not using the continuous drainage option, the water collection bucket will need to be emptied periodically. The unit will stop operating when the bucket is full. Simply pull out the bucket from the front of the unit, discard the water, and slide the bucket back into place until it clicks securely. The unit will then resume operation.
Troubleshooting

- Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the water bucket is correctly inserted and not full. Verify that the ambient temperature is within the operating range (41°F - 90°F).
- Dehumidifier is running but not collecting water: Check if the humidity setting is lower than the current room humidity. Ensure the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Verify that the room temperature is not too low, as the auto-defrost feature might be active.
- Unit is noisy: Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, level surface. Check for any obstructions around the air intake or exhaust vents. Normal operating sounds include fan noise and compressor hum.
- Water is leaking: If using continuous drainage, ensure the hose connection is secure and the hose is not kinked or blocked. If using the bucket, ensure it is properly seated and not damaged.
