ANTELA Wi-Fi Door/Window Sensor Instruction Manual

Model: AN-EU-DoorSensor-YNT

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ANTELA Wi-Fi Door/Window Sensor. This device is designed to enhance your home security by monitoring the open or closed status of doors, windows, and other entry points. When triggered, it sends instant notifications to your smartphone via the Smart Life or Tuya Smart App, providing peace of mind and smart control over your home environment.

Product Overview

The ANTELA Wi-Fi Door/Window Sensor consists of two main parts: a main sensor unit and a smaller magnetic contact. When these two parts are separated (e.g., a door or window opens), the sensor detects the change and communicates it to your connected smartphone app. It operates on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network for seamless integration into your smart home system.

Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

  1. Gently open the main sensor unit's battery compartment cover using the provided SIM ejector tool or a small flat tool.
  2. Insert two AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. App Download and Account Creation

  1. Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
  2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

3. Device Pairing (Adding Sensor to App)

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The sensor does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
  3. Tap the "Add Device" or "+" icon to add a new device.
  4. Select "Security & Video Surveillance" > "Contact Sensor (Wi-Fi)" or search for "Door Sensor".
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the sensor into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding a button on the sensor until an indicator light flashes rapidly.
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi network password when prompted.
  7. Wait for the app to discover and connect to the sensor. Once connected, you can rename the sensor for easy identification (e.g., "Front Door Sensor", "Living Room Window").

4. Installation

The sensor can be installed using the included 3M adhesive pads or screws.

  1. Choose a clean, dry, and flat surface on your door/window frame and the moving part of the door/window.
  2. Attach the main sensor unit to the fixed frame and the smaller magnetic contact to the moving part of the door or window.
  3. Crucial Alignment: Ensure the main sensor and the magnetic contact are aligned with each other and are less than 10 mm (0.4 inches) apart when the door/window is closed. Misalignment or excessive distance will prevent proper detection.
  4. Test the installation by opening and closing the door/window. Check the app to confirm that open/closed notifications are received correctly.
