This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your KES XB6240-BK Tub and Shower Faucet System. This system features a 10-inch rain shower head and a waterfall tub faucet, designed for wall-mount installation. 2. Safety Information
Observe all local plumbing and building codes. Professional installation is recommended. Ensure water supply is turned off before beginning installation. 4. Setup and Installation
Installation should be performed by a qualified professional. Refer to the provided diagram for recommended dimensions and rough-in specifications.

4.1 Pre-Installation Steps
- Turn off the main water supply to the bathroom.
- Clear the installation area and ensure you have all necessary tools.
- Review local plumbing codes and ensure compliance.
4.2 Valve Installation
- Install the pressure balance valve (4) into the wall according to the rough-in dimensions shown in Figure 4.1.
- Connect the hot and cold water lines to the appropriate inlets on the valve.
- Connect the outlet lines to the shower arm and tub spout locations.
- Ensure all connections are secure and watertight.
- The valve is designed to prevent scalding by balancing hot and cold water pressure.
4.3 Shower Head and Arm Installation
- Install the shower arm (6) into the wall outlet, ensuring it is securely fastened.
- Attach the 10-inch showerhead (1) to the shower arm. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a final quarter turn, being careful not to overtighten.
- The showerhead features self-cleaning nozzles and a 360° rotation for adjustable angle.
4.4 Tub Spout Installation
- Install the waterfall tub faucet (5) onto the wall outlet.
- Ensure the tub spout is level and securely attached to prevent leaks.
4.5 Final Steps
- Install the cover plate (3) and the diverter knob and handle (2) onto the valve.
- Turn on the main water supply and check for any leaks.
- Test the functionality of both the shower head and tub spout.
5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Water Flow Control
- The upper knob on the valve trim controls the water flow to either the shower head or the tub spout.
- Rotate the knob to select your desired water outlet.
- The system allows for both the shower head and tub spout to run simultaneously.
5.2 Temperature Adjustment
- The lower handle on the valve trim controls the water temperature.
- Move the handle to adjust the mix of hot and cold water.
- The pressure-balanced valve maintains a consistent water temperature, preventing sudden changes due to pressure fluctuations elsewhere in the plumbing system.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Clean the faucet and shower head regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the matte black finish.
- The shower head features self-cleaning silicone nozzles. Gently rub the nozzles to dislodge any mineral buildup.

6.2 Long-Term Care
- Periodically check all connections for tightness and signs of wear.
- If you experience reduced water flow, check the shower head nozzles for mineral buildup and clean as described above.
