  • Power (B+ / +12V): Connect the +12V terminal to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery using a suitable gauge power cable (e.g., 8 AWG or 10 AWG). Install an in-line fuse (e.g., 20A) within 18 inches of the battery.
  • Ground (GND): Connect the GND terminal to a clean, unpainted metal surface of the vehicle chassis. Ensure a good electrical connection.
  • Remote Turn-On (REM): Connect the REM terminal to the remote output of your head unit. This wire turns the subwoofer on and off with your car stereo.
  • Audio Input:
    • RCA Input: If your head unit has RCA pre-outs, connect them to the RCA INPUT (CH1, CH2) on the subwoofer.
    • Speaker Level Input: If your head unit does not have RCA outputs, use the provided speaker level input harness. Connect the vehicle's speaker wires to the corresponding inputs on the harness.

3. Remote Bass Knob Installation

Mount the remote bass knob in a convenient location within reach of the driver. Connect the 5-meter cable from the remote knob to the "REMOTE" port on the subwoofer unit.

Operation

1. Initial Power On

After all connections are made and secured, reconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal. Turn on your car stereo. The subwoofer should power on automatically via the remote turn-on wire.

2. Adjusting Controls

  • GAIN: This control matches the input sensitivity of the subwoofer to the output of your head unit. Start with the gain at minimum, then slowly increase it until you achieve a balanced sound without distortion.
  • FREQ (Low Pass Crossover): This knob sets the upper frequency limit for the subwoofer, ranging from 50Hz to 150Hz. Adjust it to blend the subwoofer's output smoothly with your main speakers. A common starting point is 80-100Hz.
  • PHASE BOOST (0°/180°): This switch adjusts the phase of the subwoofer's output relative to your main speakers. Experiment with both settings to find the one that provides the most impactful and cohesive bass response.
  • SUB REM (Remote Bass Knob): The remote bass knob allows you to adjust the subwoofer's output level from the driver's seat, providing a range of 0 to -30dB.

Note: Make small adjustments and listen carefully to the sound to achieve optimal performance.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the subwoofer. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the subwoofer has adequate airflow around it to prevent overheating. Do not block any vents.
