5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the charging port on the NTS500 main unit.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (5V 1A recommended, not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours.
  4. Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

5.2 Inserting the TF Memory Card

The device comes with a 16GB TF card. If you need to replace it or insert a new one:

  1. Locate the TF memory card slot on the side of the main unit.
  2. Gently insert the TF card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.

5.3 Attaching the Camera Probe

  1. Align the connector of the camera probe with the port on the top of the main unit.
  2. Push firmly until it is securely connected. Ensure a snug fit to maintain waterproof integrity for the probe.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the front or side) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

6.2 Adjusting Probe LED Lights

  • Once the device is on, the probe's LED lights will typically turn on automatically.
  • Use the dedicated light adjustment button (refer to device button layout) to cycle through different brightness levels or turn the lights off.

6.3 Using the Integrated LED Flashlight

  • The main unit has an additional LED flashlight.
  • Press the flashlight ON/OFF button (refer to device button layout) to activate or deactivate it.

6.4 Taking Snapshots

  1. With the device powered on and the probe inserted, navigate to the live view mode.
  2. Position the camera probe to capture the desired image.
  3. Press the snapshot button (usually marked with a camera icon) to take a picture. The image will be saved to the TF card.

6.5 Recording Videos

  1. In live view mode, press the video recording button (usually marked with a video camera icon or 'REC') to start recording.
  2. A recording indicator (e.g., a red dot or timer) will appear on the screen.
  3. Press the video recording button again to stop recording. The video will be saved to the TF card.

6.6 Viewing Media

  1. Navigate to the playback or gallery mode using the menu buttons.
  2. Use the navigation buttons (up/down/left/right) to browse through your saved photos and videos.
  3. Press the 'OK' or 'Play' button to view a selected item.

6.7 Language Settings

  1. Access the system settings menu.
  2. Locate the 'Language' option.
  3. Select your preferred language from the available options (English, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese).

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Device and Probe

  • Main Unit: Wipe the screen and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Camera Probe: After use, especially in dirty environments, gently wipe the probe and lens with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a small amount of mild soap can be used, followed by a clean damp cloth. Ensure no liquid enters the connector area of the main unit.

7.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (e.g., once every 3 months).
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place.

7.3 Storage

  • Store the NTS500 endoscope and its accessories in the provided carrying case or a similar protective container.
