Setup Guide

1. Charging the Devices

Before first use, fully charge both the remote transmitter and the receiver collar. Use the provided dual-charging cable. The indicator lights will show charging status (red for charging, green for fully charged).

2. Pairing the Remote and Collar

The remote and collar are typically pre-paired from the factory. To manually pair or re-pair:

1. Ensure both devices are off.
2. Turn on the remote transmitter by holding the 'L' button for 2 seconds.
3. Turn on the receiver collar by aligning the red magnetic dots on the remote and collar until the collar's indicator light turns green.
4. The devices should now be paired. The collar's light will flash green when on.

3. Fitting the Collar

Proper collar fit is crucial for effective and humane training.

• The collar should be placed on the side of the dog's neck, not directly under the throat.
• Ensure the contact points make direct contact with the skin. You may need to part thick fur.
• The fit should be snug enough that two fingers can barely fit between the strap and the dog's skin. It should not shift around.
• The strap is adjustable from 6 to 30 inches and can be trimmed to size.

Operating Instructions

Stimulation Levels and Modes

The ET-300 offers 100 levels of stimulation, adjustable via the dial on the remote.

• Stimulation Level Dial: Rotate clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease the stimulation level (0-100).
• Safety Lock: To lock a specific stimulation level, hold the dial down for 5 seconds. This prevents accidental changes.
• Momentary (Black 'S' button): Delivers a single, brief stimulation.
• Continuous (Red 'S' button): Delivers continuous stimulation for as long as the button is held, up to 10 seconds.
• Vibration or Tone (Black 'T' button): Toggles between a tapping sensation (vibration) and a tone. Press the 'T' button to activate.
• Stimulation Boost: The red 'S' button can also deliver a boosted stimulation (1-60 levels above the set level). Default boost is 5.

Range and Visibility

• 1/2 Mile Signal Range: Ideal for open spaces, hunting, or field training. Note that range may vary due to terrain, weather, foliage, and other radio transmissions.
• Light and On/Off Button (Black 'L' button): Press to activate the LED light on the collar for night tracking or increased visibility.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the collar and contact points with a damp cloth. Ensure contact points are free of dirt or debris to maintain proper function.
• Battery Care: Recharge devices as needed. Avoid completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Water Exposure: While waterproof, it is recommended to dry the devices thoroughly after exposure to water to prevent mineral buildup or corrosion.

Troubleshooting

• No Stimulation/Vibration:
  • Check if both remote and collar are turned on and paired.
  • Ensure batteries are charged.
  • Verify proper collar fit and contact point placement on the dog's skin.
  • Use the provided test light to confirm stimulation output from the collar.
• Reduced Range:
  • Check for environmental obstructions (hills, dense foliage, large metal objects).
  • Ensure both devices are fully charged.
  • Avoid holding the remote antenna against your body.
• Collar Light Not Working:
  • Ensure the collar is turned on and charged.
  • Press the 'L' button on the remote to activate the light.
