4. Charging Instructions

The VGR V175 can be used corded or cordless. For optimal performance, ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the trimmer or the charging base.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The LED display on the trimmer will show the charging progress. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
  4. Once fully charged, the trimmer provides approximately 150 minutes of cordless runtime.
  5. Disconnect the charger once charging is complete to preserve battery life.

5. Attachment Installation and Removal

To change attachment heads:

  1. Ensure the trimmer is switched off.
  2. To remove an attachment head, gently push it upwards from the front of the trimmer until it detaches.
  3. To install a new attachment head, align the head with the slot on the trimmer body and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Before use, ensure your skin and hair are clean and dry. For best results, trim against the direction of hair growth.

6.1 Hair Clipping and Beard Trimming (Full Size Trimmer)

  1. Attach the Full Size Trimmer head.
  2. Select the desired guide comb for your preferred hair length.
  3. Switch on the trimmer.
  4. Start trimming from the bottom upwards, moving the trimmer slowly and steadily against the direction of hair growth.
  5. For detailing, remove the guide comb and use the trimmer head directly.

6.2 Precision Trimming and Design (Precision/Design Trimmer)

  1. Attach the Precision or Design Trimmer head.
  2. Switch on the trimmer.
  3. Carefully outline edges, create sharp lines, or intricate designs as desired.

6.3 Nose and Ear Hair Trimming (Nose Trimmer)

  1. Attach the Nose Trimmer head.
  2. Switch on the trimmer.
  3. Gently insert the trimmer tip into your nostril or ear canal.
  4. Move the trimmer in a circular motion to trim unwanted hair. Do not insert too deeply.

6.4 Shaving (Shaver Head)

  1. Attach the Shaver head.
  2. Switch on the trimmer.
  3. Hold the shaver flat against your skin and move it in short, gentle strokes.
  4. This head is suitable for small areas and touch-ups.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your trimmer.

  1. After Each Use: Switch off and unplug the trimmer. Remove the attachment head. Use the cleaning brush to remove any loose hairs from the blades and the trimmer body.
  2. Rinsing Blades: The blades can be rinsed under running water. Ensure the trimmer body is not submerged. Allow blades to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.
  3. Lubrication: After every few uses, or if the blades feel sluggish, apply a small drop of the provided lubricating oil to the blades. Run the trimmer for a few seconds to distribute the oil. Wipe off any excess oil.
  4. Storage: Store the trimmer and all accessories in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
