4. What's in the Box

Your Weber 66047 Control Knob Kit includes:

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your new control knobs:

  1. Ensure Safety: Before beginning, ensure your grill is completely off and the gas supply is turned off at the propane tank or natural gas line. Allow the grill to cool down if it has been in use.
  2. Remove Old Knobs: Gently pull the existing control knobs straight off the valve stems. They are typically held in place by friction.
  3. Inspect Valve Stems: Check the valve stems for any debris or damage. Clean them if necessary. The valve stems should be D-shaped to match the opening in the new knobs.
  4. Install New Knobs: Align the D-shaped opening on the back of the new Weber control knob with the D-shaped valve stem on your grill. Push the knob firmly onto the stem until it is seated securely. Ensure the red indicator line on the knob points to the 'OFF' position when the valve is closed.
  5. Test Functionality: Once all knobs are installed, turn on the gas supply. Carefully test each knob by pushing it in and turning it to the 'IGNITE' position to ensure it engages correctly and the burner ignites. Then turn it back to 'OFF'.
