4. Setup and Initial Use

  1. Identify Device Requirements: Before connecting, determine the exact voltage (V) and current (A) requirements of your electronic device. Refer to your device's original power adapter or user manual.
  2. Select the Correct DC Tip: Choose the DC tip from the provided set that physically fits your device's power input port.
  3. Check Polarity: Most devices use center-positive polarity. If your device requires center-negative polarity, use the included polarity converter cable. The adapter's default output is center-positive.
  4. Adjust Voltage:
    • Ensure the adapter is NOT plugged into a wall outlet.
    • Rotate the voltage adjustment knob on the adapter to the desired voltage setting. The LCD display will show the selected voltage.
    • IMPORTANT: Always set the voltage to match your device's requirements BEFORE plugging the adapter into your device or the wall outlet. Incorrect voltage can damage your device.
