Setup
Battery Installation
The remote control requires one (1) AAA battery for operation. No programming is needed; the remote will function immediately upon correct battery installation. Please note that batteries are not included with the remote control.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
- Insert one (1) AAA battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into position until it clicks securely.
Important: Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and corrosion.
Operating Instructions
Point the remote control directly at the infrared sensor on your JVC micro component stereo system. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the stereo system. The maximum effective range is approximately 8 meters (26 feet).

- O/I (Power): Turns the stereo system on or off.
- DISPLAY: Changes the information displayed on the stereo system's screen.
- DIMMER: Adjusts the brightness of the stereo system's display.
- REPEAT: Repeats the current track or album during playback.
- RANDOM: Plays tracks in a random order.
- PROGRAM: Enters program mode to create a custom playlist.

- UP / DOWN: Moves cursor up/down in menus, or adjusts settings.
- LEFT / RIGHT (|< / >|): Skips tracks/chapters, fast forwards/rewinds.
- SET: Confirms a selection or enters a setting.
- CLOCK/TIMER: Accesses clock settings or timer functions.
- FADE/MUTING: Fades audio in/out or mutes/unmutes sound.
- AUTO STBY (Auto Standby): Activates or deactivates the auto standby feature.
- PTY (Program Type): Displays program type information (for radio).
- SLEEP: Sets the sleep timer.
- SOUND TURBO: Enhances bass and treble for a dynamic sound.
- HBS (Hyper Bass Sound): Activates or deactivates Hyper Bass Sound.
- BASS/TREBLE: Allows adjustment of bass and treble levels.
- VOLUME (+ / -): Increases or decreases the audio volume.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Remote Control

Battery Replacement
