Setup and Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your SOFTSEA platform bed.
Step 1: Unpack and Identify Parts
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface and compare them against the package contents list to ensure everything is present.
Step 2: Assemble the Headboard

Attach the vertical posts to the main headboard panel using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Ensure the X-shaped design faces outwards.
Step 3: Assemble the Footboard
Figure 2: Footboard components ready for assembly.
Similar to the headboard, attach the vertical posts to the main footboard panel. Ensure the X-shaped design faces outwards.
Step 4: Attach Side Rails
Connect the assembled headboard and footboard using the two side rails. Secure them with the appropriate bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten yet, allow for slight adjustments.
Step 5: Install Support Legs and Slats
Figure 3: Slats being installed onto the side rails.
Attach any central support legs to the crossbeams or side rails as indicated in the diagram. Then, evenly space and secure the wooden slats across the side rails. Ensure each slat is firmly attached to prevent movement and provide adequate mattress support.
Step 6: Final Tightening and Placement

Once all components are in place, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws. Move the assembled bed frame to its desired location. Place your mattress directly onto the wooden slats.
Operating (Usage)
This platform bed is designed to support a Full size mattress directly on its wooden slats. No box spring is required.
- Mattress Placement: Carefully place your Full size mattress onto the assembled wooden slats. Ensure it is centered and sits securely within the frame.
- Weight Distribution: For optimal longevity and safety, distribute weight evenly across the bed surface. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area.
- Under-Bed Space: The design provides under-bed clearance for storage. Utilize this space for items that fit within the available height.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Loose connections can lead to instability and noise. Retighten as needed.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the bed frame away from excessive moisture or direct sunlight to prevent warping or fading of the wood.
- Moving the Bed: When moving the bed, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the frame and your flooring.
Troubleshooting
- Squeaking Noises: If the bed squeaks, check all bolts and screws and tighten them. Ensure slats are properly seated and not rubbing against the frame. Applying a small amount of furniture wax or lubricant to contact points can sometimes help.
- Instability/Wobbling: Ensure all connections are fully tightened. Verify that the bed is on a level surface. Adjust any leveling feet if present.
- Damaged Parts: If any part is damaged during assembly or use, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support for replacement parts.
