4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to prepare your ash vacuum cleaner for use.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage.
- Install HEPA Filter:
- Open the clamping latches and remove the motor unit from the metal tank.
- Place the HEPA filter onto the motor unit's filter cage, ensuring it is seated correctly and securely. The protective mesh should be facing outwards.
- Reattach the motor unit to the metal tank and secure it with the clamping latches.
- Attach Hose: Insert the flexible suction hose into the inlet port on the side of the metal tank. Twist clockwise to secure it firmly.
- Attach Nozzle: Connect the aluminum nozzle to the free end of the flexible suction hose.
5. Operating Instructions

- Verify Ash Temperature: Ensure the ash to be vacuumed is completely cold. Wait at least 24-48 hours after the last fire, or until the ash is cool to the touch.
- Plug In: Insert the power plug into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Power On: Flip the power switch on the motor unit to the "ON" position.
- Vacuuming: Use the aluminum nozzle to vacuum the cold ash. Move the nozzle slowly over the ash for effective collection.
- Power Off: Once vacuuming is complete, flip the power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
Important: Do not overfill the tank. Regularly check the fill level and empty the tank when necessary to maintain optimal suction power.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your ash vacuum cleaner.
6.1. Emptying the Tank
- Ensure the vacuum is unplugged.
- Open the clamping latches and carefully lift off the motor unit.
- Empty the ash from the metal tank into a suitable, non-combustible container.
- Wipe the inside of the tank with a dry cloth if needed.
6.2. Cleaning the HEPA Filter
The HEPA filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power. The frequency depends on usage.
- Ensure the vacuum is unplugged and the motor unit is removed.
- Carefully remove the HEPA filter from the motor unit.
- Gently tap the filter against a hard surface to dislodge accumulated ash. Alternatively, use a soft brush or compressed air (from the clean side) to clean the pleats.
- Do not wash the HEPA filter with water unless specifically stated by the manufacturer for your model. If it is washable, ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
- Reinstall the clean HEPA filter and reassemble the vacuum cleaner.
6.3. General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
