Installation Guide
Before beginning, ensure your computer is powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. It is recommended to wear an anti-static wrist strap or periodically touch a grounded metal object to discharge static electricity, which can damage electronic components.
- Prepare Your System: Power down your computer completely and disconnect all cables, including the power cord.
- Open the Computer Case: Remove the side panel of your computer case to access the motherboard and RAM slots.
- Locate RAM Slots: Identify the DIMM slots on your motherboard. Consult your motherboard manual for the correct slot configuration if installing multiple modules.
- Remove Existing Modules (if applicable): If replacing existing RAM, gently push down the retention clips on both ends of the slot. The module will pop up slightly, allowing you to remove it.
- Install New Module: Align the notch on the A-Tech memory module with the key in the DIMM slot. Apply even pressure to both ends of the module until the retention clips snap into place, securing the module. Do not force the module if it does not fit; re-check alignment.
- Close Case and Reconnect: Once the module is securely installed, replace the computer case panel and reconnect all cables.
- Power On and Verify: Power on your computer. The system should automatically detect the new memory. You can verify the installed memory in your operating system's system information or BIOS/UEFI settings.

Maintenance and Handling Precautions
Memory modules are sensitive electronic components. Proper handling ensures longevity and prevents damage.
- Always handle the memory module by its edges, avoiding contact with the gold connectors or the chips.
- Store unused modules in anti-static bags to protect them from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Keep modules away from liquids, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight.
- No routine maintenance is required for memory modules once installed.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after installing your A-Tech memory module, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- System Does Not Boot / No Display:
- Ensure the memory module is fully seated in its slot and the retention clips are locked.
- Try reseating the module.
- If installing multiple modules, try installing one module at a time to identify a faulty one or an incompatible slot.
- Verify that your motherboard supports the installed memory type (DDR4), speed (2666MHz), and capacity.
- Incorrect Memory Capacity Detected:
- Check your system's BIOS/UEFI settings to confirm the detected memory.
- Ensure all modules are correctly seated.
- Some motherboards require specific slot configurations for dual-channel or quad-channel memory; consult your motherboard manual.
- System Instability / Blue Screens:
- Run a memory diagnostic tool (e.g., Windows Memory Diagnostic, MemTest86) to check for errors.
- Ensure your system's BIOS/UEFI is updated to the latest version, as this can improve memory compatibility.
- Verify that the memory is running at its rated speed and voltage in the BIOS/UEFI.
