1. General Safety Information

Warning:

• DO NOT allow the batteries to come into contact with any kind of liquid. DO NOT leave the batteries out in the rain or near a source of moisture. DO NOT drop the batteries into water. If the inside of a battery comes into contact with water, chemical decomposition may occur, potentially resulting in the battery catching on fire, and possibly leading to an explosion.
• DO NOT use non-DJI batteries or chargers. Go to http://www.dji.com to purchase new batteries or chargers. DJI takes no responsibility for any damage caused by non-DJI batteries or chargers.
• DO NOT use or charge swollen, leaky, or damaged batteries. If your battery is abnormal, contact DJI or a DJI authorized dealer for further assistance.
• The batteries should be used at temperatures between 0° and 40° C (32° and 104° F). Use of batteries in environments above 50° C (122° F) can lead to fire or explosion. Using batteries below 0° C (32° F) will severely reduce performance.
• DO NOT disassemble or pierce a battery in any way or it may leak, catch fire, or explode.
• Electrolytes in batteries are highly corrosive. If any electrolytes make contact with your skin or eyes, immediately wash the affected area with water and see a doctor immediately.
• Put out any battery fire using sand or a dry powder fire extinguisher.
• Keep the batteries out of the reach of children and animals.
• DO NOT use a battery if it was involved in a crash or heavy impact.

Notice:

• Regularly check the battery level indicators to see the current battery level. The battery is rated for 200 cycles. It is not recommended to continue use after 200 cycles.
• Discharge the battery to 40%-60% if it will not be used for 10 days or more, as it can greatly extend the battery life.
• Remove batteries from the aircraft when stored for an extended period.
• Disconnect the batteries from the charging device when they are fully charged.
• Store the batteries in clean environment, to avoid stains or dirt stuck in the battery buckles.
• Clean battery terminals with a clean, dry cloth.

2. Setup

2.1. Compatibility

This Intelligent Flight Battery is compatible with the following DJI drone models:

• DJI Mini 4K

2.2. Battery Installation

To install the Intelligent Flight Battery into your DJI Mini drone:

1. Ensure the drone is powered off and the propellers are folded.
2. Locate the battery compartment at the rear of the drone.
3. Open the battery compartment cover.
4. Align the battery with the compartment, ensuring the contacts on the battery match the contacts inside the drone.
5. Gently push the battery into the compartment until you hear a distinct click, indicating it is securely latched.
6. Close the battery compartment cover firmly.

This intelligent flight battery provides up to 31 minutes of flight time under ideal conditions. Actual flight time may vary based on environmental factors, flight mode, and usage patterns.

3.2. Intelligent Battery Management System

The built-in DJI Intelligent Battery Management System ensures safer flight by providing stable energy output and accurate calculation of remaining flight time. This system also incorporates a self-discharge mechanism to protect the battery during extended storage.

3.3. Self-Discharge Feature

For optimal battery health and longevity, the battery is designed to automatically discharge to 40%-60% of its capacity if it is not used for 10 days or more. This feature helps to prevent over-discharge and prolong the overall lifespan of the battery. It is recommended to allow this feature to operate as intended for long-term storage.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance is crucial for extending the lifespan and ensuring the safe operation of your DJI Mini 2 Intelligent Flight Battery.

• Storage: Always remove batteries from the aircraft when storing for an extended period. Store the batteries in a clean environment, free from stains or dirt that could get stuck in the battery buckles.
• Charging: Disconnect the batteries from the charging device once they are fully charged to prevent overcharging.
• Cleaning: Clean battery terminals with a clean, dry cloth to ensure good electrical contact and prevent corrosion.
• Cycle Life: The battery is rated for approximately 200 charge cycles. While it may function beyond this, continued use after 200 cycles is not recommended as performance and safety may be compromised.

• Battery Not Charging: Ensure the charger is properly connected and functioning. Check for any visible damage to the battery or charger.

• Swollen Battery: Immediately discontinue use of any swollen, leaky, or damaged battery. Do not attempt to charge or use it. Dispose of it safely according to local regulations.
