7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Uten Air Fryer Oven, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; appliance malfunction. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check the circuit breaker. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Food is not cooked evenly. | Overcrowding the basket/trays; insufficient shaking/turning; incorrect temperature/time. | Do not overcrowd the cooking space. Cook in smaller batches if necessary. Shake the basket or turn food on trays halfway through cooking. Adjust temperature and time as needed. |
| Food is not crispy. | Too much moisture; not enough oil (for certain foods); low temperature. | Pat food dry before air frying. A light coating of oil can help achieve crispiness for some foods. Increase temperature slightly or extend cooking time. Ensure proper air circulation. |
| White smoke coming from the appliance. | Grease residue from previous use; high-fat food cooking. | Clean the drip tray and interior thoroughly after each use. For high-fat foods, place a small amount of water in the drip tray to prevent smoke. |
| Appliance automatically shuts off during operation. | Overheating protection activated. | This is a safety feature. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Check for proper ventilation around the unit. Plug back in and resume operation. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact Uten customer support for further assistance.
