1. Introduction

1.1. Package Contents

2. Getting Started

2.1. Initial Setup

Before using your Sonim XP3 XP3800, ensure the battery is charged and the SIM card is properly installed. The phone is designed for use with Verizon's 4G LTE network.

2.2. Battery and SIM Card Installation

  1. Remove the Battery Cover: Locate the latch or screws on the back of the phone and carefully open the battery cover.
  2. Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot. Align your Verizon Nano-SIM card with the slot's orientation and gently push it in until it clicks into place. The Sonim XP3 XP3800 supports a single SIM card.
  3. Insert Battery: Align the battery contacts with the phone's terminals and place the battery into its compartment.
  4. Replace Battery Cover: Securely close the battery cover, ensuring it is latched or screwed tightly to maintain the phone's rugged integrity.

2.3. Powering On and Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (usually red) until the Sonim logo appears on the screen.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button. Select "Power Off" from the options that appear on the screen.

3.1. Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call:
    1. Open the flip phone.
    2. Enter the phone number using the keypad.
    3. Press the Green Call button to initiate the call.
  • Receiving a Call:
    1. When the phone rings, open the flip or press the Green Call button to answer.
    2. To end a call, press the Red End Call button.

3.2. Sending Messages

  1. Navigate to the "Messages" menu from the main screen.
  2. Select "New Message" or "Create Message".
  3. Enter the recipient's phone number or select from contacts.
  4. Type your message using the keypad.
  5. Press "Send".
