3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.

- Initial Battery Charge: For optimal performance, fully charge new batteries before first use.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Charging the Battery
- Insert Battery: Align the battery with the charger's slot and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Monitor Charging: The charger features LED indicators that display the charging status. Green lights typically indicate charging progress, and a solid green light signifies a full charge. Red lights may indicate an error or a bad battery.
- Remove Battery: Once fully charged, press the release button(s) on the battery and slide it out of the charger.
4.2 Using the Battery with Tools
- Attach Battery: Align the charged battery with the battery port on your compatible Kobalt 24V Max tool. Slide the battery into place until it locks securely.
- Check Battery Level: The battery itself has LED indicators to display the remaining runtime. Press the button next to the indicators to check the current charge level.
- Remove Battery: To remove the battery from the tool, press the battery release button(s) and slide the battery out.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the charger and battery contacts clean and free of debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe surfaces. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store batteries and charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or above 104°F (40°C).
- Long-Term Storage: For extended storage, charge batteries to approximately 50% capacity. Recharge every 3-6 months to maintain battery health.
