Please read it thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.The Midea M3S is designed to provide efficient cleaning for various floor types, including hard floors and carpets, with features such as 3 cleaning modes, automatic charging, and intelligent navigation.
2. Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of injury or damage, observe the following safety precautions:
- Read all instructions before operating the robot vacuum.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Do not allow children to play with the robot vacuum. Supervise children and pets when the robot is operating.
- Use only the charging adapter supplied by the manufacturer.
- Do not use the robot vacuum in environments with open flames or flammable materials.
- Ensure the dustbin is properly installed before operation.
- Do not immerse the robot vacuum or its charging dock in water.
- Avoid operating the robot vacuum on wet surfaces.
- Before cleaning, remove loose items like cables, small objects, or curtains that could entangle the brushes.
- Do not use the robot vacuum to pick up large debris, liquids, or burning/smoking objects.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

4. Product Overview
4.1 Robot Vacuum Components

4.2 Charging Dock
The charging dock provides power to recharge the robot vacuum's battery. It features charging pins that align with the robot's charging contacts.
4.3 Remote Control
The remote control allows you to manually direct the robot, select cleaning modes, schedule cleaning times, and send the robot back to its charging dock.
5. Setup
5.1 Installing Side Brushes
- Turn the robot vacuum upside down.
- Align the side brushes with the corresponding posts on the bottom of the robot.
- Press the brushes down until they click into place.
5.2 Positioning the Charging Dock
Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side of the dock and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it. Plug the power adapter into the charging dock and then into a wall outlet.

5.3 Initial Charging
Place the robot vacuum onto the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator light on the robot will illuminate to show it is charging. For first-time use, charge the robot for at least 6 hours to ensure optimal battery performance.
5.4 Setting up Virtual Walls (Optional)
Use the included magnetic strip to create virtual boundaries that the robot will not cross. Place the strip flat on the floor in areas you wish to restrict, such as doorways or around pet bowls.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the robot for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button on the robot for a few seconds until the indicator light turns off.
6.2 Starting a Cleaning Cycle
Press the power button on the robot or the "Start/Pause" button on the remote control to begin a cleaning cycle. The robot will automatically select a cleaning mode based on its environment.
6.3 Cleaning Modes
The Midea M3S offers three distinct cleaning modes:
- Auto Cleaning: The robot navigates and cleans an entire area automatically. This is the default mode.
- Spot Cleaning: The robot focuses on a specific dirty area, cleaning in a spiral pattern. Activate this mode via the remote control.
- Edge Cleaning: The robot cleans along walls and furniture edges. Activate this mode via the remote control.

6.4 Automatic Charging
When the battery level is low, the robot vacuum will automatically return to its charging dock. You can also send the robot back to the dock manually by pressing the "Home" button on the remote control.
6.5 Obstacle Avoidance and Cliff Detection
The robot is equipped with sensors to detect obstacles and prevent collisions. Cliff sensors on the bottom of the robot prevent it from falling down stairs or other drops.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Midea M3S Robot Vacuum.
7.1 Emptying the Dustbin
- Press the dustbin release button on the top cover of the robot.
- Remove the dustbin.
- Open the dustbin cover and empty its contents into a trash bin.
- Reinstall the dustbin until it clicks into place.
7.2 Cleaning the Filter
The filter should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every few uses.
- Remove the dustbin as described above.
- Take out the filter assembly from the dustbin.
- Tap the filter gently to remove dust and debris. You may also use a cleaning brush.
- Do not wash the HEPA filter with water.
- Reassemble the filter and dustbin.
7.3 Cleaning Side Brushes
Check side brushes for tangled hair or debris.
- Carefully pull the side brushes upwards to remove them.
- Remove any hair or debris wrapped around the brushes or their posts.
- Reinstall the brushes, ensuring they click into place.
7.4 Cleaning the Main Brush
The main brush should be cleaned weekly or as needed.
- Press the brush roll access button to open the brush cover.
- Lift out the main brush.
- Use the cleaning tool (if provided) or scissors to cut and remove any hair or debris tangled around the brush.
- Reinsert the main brush and close the cover until it clicks.
7.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe the cliff sensors, charging contacts on the robot, and the charging pins on the dock with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents charging and navigation issues.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your robot vacuum, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions.
