Initial Charger Setup

The AC wall charger features a foldable flat pin for convenient storage and travel. To prepare the charger for use:

1. Locate the foldable pins on the back of the charger.
2. Gently pull out and rotate the pins until they are fully extended and locked into position, ready to plug into a standard AC outlet.

Operating Instructions

Charging the Battery

Follow these steps to charge your Kastar Lithium-Ion battery:

1. Ensure the AC wall charger is plugged into a functional AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz power outlet.
2. Align the battery with the charging contacts on the charger. Gently slide the battery into the charger until it clicks securely into place.
3. Observe the LED indicator on the charger:
• Red light: Indicates the battery is currently charging.
• Green light: Indicates the battery is fully charged or the charger is in standby mode (no battery inserted).
4. Once the LED turns green, the battery is fully charged. Carefully remove the battery from the charger.

Maintenance

Battery Care

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid fully discharging Lithium-Ion batteries for extended periods, as this can reduce their lifespan.
• If storing for a long time, charge batteries to approximately 50-70% capacity.

Charger Care

• Keep the charger clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Do not expose the charger to moisture or liquids.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the charger. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Safety Precautions

• Use only with compatible Kastar batteries.
• Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Dispose of batteries properly according to local regulations.

Troubleshooting

Battery Not Charging

• Check Power Connection: Ensure the AC wall charger is securely plugged into a live power outlet.
• Verify Battery Placement: Make sure the battery is correctly inserted into the charger, with contacts aligned.
• Observe LED Indicator: If the LED remains green when a battery is inserted, try re-inserting the battery or testing with another battery if available.

Charger Not Functioning

• Check Outlet: Test the power outlet with another device to ensure it is working.
• Inspect Charger: Look for any visible damage to the charger or its pins. If damaged, discontinue use.
