4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Imou Ranger 2C camera:

1. Download the Imou Life App: Search for "Imou Life" in your mobile app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android) or scan the QR code provided in the quick start guide. You can also visit http://mobile.easy4ipcloud.com/imou/detect.html.
2. Create an Account: Open the Imou Life App and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Power On the Camera: Connect the camera to a power source using the provided power cable and adapter. Wait for the indicator light to flash green, indicating it's ready for setup.
4. Add the Camera: In the Imou Life App, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. Scan the QR code located on the bottom of your camera.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect your camera to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network during this process.
6. Mounting (Optional): The camera can be placed on a flat surface or mounted to a wall or ceiling. Use the positioning map and screw package for accurate installation if mounting. Ensure the camera is positioned to cover your desired area.

5. Operating the Camera

Once set up, you can control and monitor your camera using the Imou Life App:

• Live View: Access real-time video feed from your camera anytime, anywhere.
• Pan & Tilt Control: Use the directional controls in the app to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle.
• Two-Way Audio: Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen to audio from the camera's microphone.
• Motion Detection Settings: Customize detection zones, sensitivity levels, and notification preferences for motion and human detection.
• Recording & Playback: View recorded footage stored on your microSD card or Imou Cloud. You can scroll through timelines to find specific events.
• Privacy Mode Activation: Activate privacy mode from the app to physically retract the camera lens, ensuring no video is recorded or streamed.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your camera:
