Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the monitor from its packaging. Retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.

2. Placement

The KRK Classic 5 is designed for indoor tabletop mounting. Position the monitors to form an equilateral triangle with your listening position, with the tweeters at ear level. Ensure adequate space around the monitors for proper ventilation and to minimize acoustic reflections.

Operation

1. Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the rear panel of the monitor. Flip the switch to the "ON" position to power on the monitor. Flip to "OFF" to power down. It is recommended to power on your monitors after your audio source and power them off before your audio source.

2. Volume Adjustment

The volume knob on the rear panel allows you to adjust the output level of the monitor. Start with a low volume setting and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level.

3. Acoustic Adjustments

The Classic 5 features High Frequency (HF) and Low Frequency (LF) level adjustment controls on the rear panel to tailor the monitor's response to your listening environment and personal preference.

Experiment with these settings to achieve the most accurate sound for your room. The "FLAT" setting provides the most neutral response.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the monitor's plastic enclosure, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by drying with a clean cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the finish. Do not spray liquids directly onto the monitor.

Storage

If storing the monitors for an extended period, place them back in their original packaging in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.
