Jansite TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System
User Manual
1. Introduction
The Jansite Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is designed to provide real-time monitoring of your vehicle's tire pressure and temperature, enhancing driving safety. This system features a solar-powered display unit and four external sensors, offering wireless transmission and multiple alarm modes for critical tire conditions.
This manual will guide you through the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Jansite TPMS.
2. Product Components
Your Jansite TPMS package includes the following components:
- 1 x TPMS Display Unit (Receiver)
- 4 x External Tire Pressure Sensors (labeled F.L, F.R, R.L, R.R for Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right)
- 4 x Anti-theft Nuts
- 1 x Small Wrench for sensor installation
- 1 x USB Charging Cable
- 1 x User Manual (this document)

3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Jansite TPMS.
3.1 Charging the Display Unit
The display unit can be charged via solar power or USB. For initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the unit using the provided USB cable.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the display unit's USB port.
- Plug the other end into a 5V USB power source (e.g., car charger, computer USB port).
- The unit will charge automatically when exposed to sunlight via its solar panel.

Figure 3.1: The display unit supports dual charging methods: solar power for continuous operation in daylight and USB charging for cloudy or rainy conditions.
3.2 Installing the External Sensors
Install the sensors on the corresponding tire valves. Ensure each sensor is installed on the correct tire as indicated by its label (F.L, F.R, R.L, R.R).
- Unscrew the original valve cap from the tire valve.
- Screw on an anti-theft nut onto the valve stem.
- Screw the corresponding sensor onto the valve stem until it is hand-tight.
- Use the provided wrench to tighten the anti-theft nut against the sensor, securing it in place. This prevents theft and ensures a tight seal.
- Repeat for all four tires.
Note: It is recommended to check tire pressure with a reliable gauge before installing sensors to ensure accurate baseline readings.
3.3 Mounting the Display Unit
The display unit can be placed on the windshield or center console for optimal visibility without obstructing your view.

4. Operating Instructions
Understanding how to operate your TPMS is crucial for effective tire monitoring.
4.1 Automatic Power On/Off
The Jansite TPMS is designed for convenience with automatic power management:
- Vibration Power-on: The monitor will sense vibration and automatically turn on when you open the car door or start the engine.
- Auto Power-off: The unit will turn off automatically after parking for approximately 3 minutes to conserve energy.

Figure 4.1: The TPMS unit features smart power management, activating upon vehicle vibration and deactivating after a period of inactivity.
4.2 Understanding the Display
The display shows real-time pressure and temperature for each tire. Icons indicate battery status, signal strength, and alarm conditions.

Figure 4.2: The display provides real-time data for each tire, including pressure and temperature, with clear indicators for various system statuses.
4.3 Alarm Modes
The system provides 6 alarm modes to alert you to potential tire issues:
- Rapid Leak Alarm: Alerts to a sudden, significant drop in pressure.
- Slow Leak Alarm: Indicates a gradual loss of pressure over time.
- High Pressure Alarm: Warns if tire pressure exceeds the safe limit.
- High Temperature Alarm: Alerts if tire temperature becomes excessively high.
- Sensor Failure Alarm: Indicates a malfunction or loss of signal from a sensor.
- Sensor Low Battery Alarm: Notifies when a sensor's battery is low and needs replacement.
When an alarm is triggered, the display will flash the relevant tire's data and an audible alert will sound.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your TPMS.
5.1 Sensor Battery Replacement
When a sensor low battery alarm is triggered, replace the sensor battery promptly.
- Unscrew the sensor from the tire valve and remove the anti-theft nut.
- Use the small wrench or a coin to open the sensor casing by twisting the top part.
- Carefully remove the old battery (typically a CR1632 button cell).
- Insert a new battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Close the sensor casing securely and re-install it on the tire valve following the installation steps.

5.2 Cleaning
Wipe the display unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the components.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Jansite TPMS, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display shows "---" or no signal from a sensor. | Sensor not installed correctly, sensor battery low/dead, signal interference, sensor failure. |
|
| Inaccurate pressure readings. | Sensor not calibrated, external factors (extreme temperature changes), sensor malfunction. |
|
| Display unit not turning on. | Low battery, unit not receiving vibration, unit malfunction. |
|
| Alarm sounds frequently without apparent reason. | Alarm thresholds set too sensitive, minor pressure fluctuations. |
