Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

The dash cam powers on and begins recording automatically when connected to power and the vehicle ignition is on. To manually power on/off, press and hold the power button. Use the menu buttons on the side of the device to navigate settings and playback options.

Dual Lens Recording

The CHORTAU Dash Cam B-T25 simultaneously records both the front and rear views of your vehicle, providing comprehensive coverage. The front camera captures a wide 170° angle, while the rear camera provides additional perspective for enhanced safety.

GPS Functionality

The integrated GPS module records your driving route, speed (in KM/H or PM/H), and location data. This information can be viewed using dedicated video player software on your PC, which overlays the data onto the video footage. This feature is crucial for providing accurate details in case of an incident.

Parking Monitor

When the parking monitor feature is enabled, the dash cam will automatically detect impacts or motion around your parked vehicle and begin recording, providing surveillance even when you're away. The rear camera also provides a backup view with parking guidelines when the reverse gear is engaged, assisting with safe parking maneuvers.

Loop Recording

The dash cam utilizes loop recording, continuously recording video in segments. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked footage is automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

G-Sensor (Emergency Lock)

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shakes or collisions. In the event of an impact, the current video segment is automatically locked and saved to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording, preserving critical evidence.

Night Vision

The dash cam is equipped with enhanced night vision capabilities, allowing for clear video recording in low-light conditions and at night. This ensures important details are captured regardless of ambient light.

Maintenance

Memory Card Management

It is recommended to format the memory card regularly (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the dash cam's menu settings. Ensure to back up any important footage before formatting.

Cleaning

Gently clean the camera lenses and screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surfaces.
