Setup and Installation

This burner is designed for easy installation and is compatible with most rectangular Fire Sense fire pits. For specific compatibility questions, please contact customer service.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
2. Placement: Ensure the fire pit enclosure is on a stable, level surface, away from combustible materials.
3. Burner Placement: Position the rectangular burner assembly into the designated opening of your fire pit table. Ensure it sits securely.
4. Gas Connection (LPG):
   • Ensure the main gas supply valve is off.
   • Connect the LPG hose from your propane tank to the burner's gas inlet. Tighten all connections securely.
   • Check for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. Do not operate if a leak is detected.
5. Gas Connection (Natural Gas Conversion):
   • This unit ships LPG-ready. To convert to Natural Gas, a qualified gas technician must install the included Natural Gas (NG) orifice.
   • Ensure the main gas supply valve is off.
   • Connect the natural gas line to the burner's gas inlet. Tighten all connections securely.
   • Check for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. Do not operate if a leak is detected.
6. Ignition System: Install the required battery (not included) into the electronic ignition module.
7. Media Placement: If using fire glass or lava rocks (not included), distribute them evenly over the burner pan, ensuring not to block the ignition pin or thermocouple.

Operating Instructions

1. Before Lighting: Ensure the area around the fire pit is clear of debris and flammable materials.
2. Open Gas Supply: Slowly open the main gas supply valve on your propane tank or natural gas line.
3. Ignition:
   • Turn the flame adjustment control knob on the burner to the "LOW" position.
   • Press and hold the electronic ignition button. You should hear a clicking sound and see a spark at the ignition pin.
   • Once the flame ignites, continue to hold the knob for 5-10 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up and engage the safety valve.
   • Release the knob. If the flame extinguishes, repeat the ignition process.
4. Adjusting Flame: Rotate the flame adjustment control knob to increase or decrease the flame height as desired.
5. To Turn Off: Turn the flame adjustment control knob to the "OFF" position. Then, close the main gas supply valve on your propane tank or natural gas line.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Allow the burner to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean the stainless steel surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Burner Ports: Periodically check burner ports for blockages (e.g., spider webs, debris). Use a soft brush or compressed air to clear them.
• Ignition System: Ensure the ignition pin and thermocouple are clean and free of obstructions.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the gas supply and cover the fire pit to protect the burner from elements.
