- Connect Clamps to Unit: Plug the intelligent battery clamps into the jump start port on the OSRAM BATTERYstart 200 unit. Ensure a secure connection.
- Connect to Vehicle Battery:
- Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Connect the black (-) clamp to a clean, unpainted metal part of the vehicle chassis, away from the battery and fuel lines. Alternatively, connect to the negative (-) terminal if recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
- Verify Connection: The intelligent clamps will indicate a safe connection (refer to the clamp's indicator lights, if present). The jump starter unit may also provide an indication.
