1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your VIVO STAND-V101L Universal Adjustable Laptop Mount. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety. Keep this manual for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Always ensure all components are securely fastened before use. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact VIVO customer support. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 9.9 lbs (4.5 kg). Ensure the desk surface is stable and capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and your laptop. Avoid placing fingers or hands near moving parts to prevent pinching. The counterbalance arm requires a minimum weight of 2.2 lbs (1 kg) to function correctly.

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble and install your VIVO STAND-V101L laptop mount. A visual guide is provided in the assembly video below.

Step 1: Desk Clamp Installation

Choose between C-clamp or grommet installation. For C-clamp, attach the clamp base to the vertical pole and secure it to your desk edge (up to 3.5 inches thick). For grommet, route the pole through a desk grommet hole and secure it from underneath.

Step 2: Attach the Pneumatic Arm

Slide the pneumatic arm onto the vertical pole. Adjust its height as desired and secure it using the provided fasteners. Ensure it is at a comfortable working height.

Step 3: Assemble the Laptop Tray

Attach the adjustable side clamps to the laptop tray. These clamps will secure your laptop. Then, attach the VESA plate to the back of the laptop tray using the provided screws.

Step 4: Mount the Laptop Tray

Slide the VESA plate (with the assembled laptop tray) onto the end of the pneumatic arm. Secure it with the thumbscrew. Place your laptop onto the tray and adjust the side clamps to hold it firmly in place.

Step 5: Cable Management

Route your laptop's cables through the integrated cable management slots on the arm and pole. This helps maintain a tidy workspace.

Step 6: Adjust Arm Tension

Use the provided Allen wrench to adjust the tension of the pneumatic arm. Turn clockwise to increase tension for heavier laptops, and counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter laptops. The arm requires a minimum of 2.2 lbs (1 kg) to function properly.

Once installed, your VIVO STAND-V101L offers versatile positioning for your laptop:

• Height Adjustment: The pneumatic arm allows for smooth, effortless vertical height adjustments. Simply push or pull the arm to your desired height.
• Tilt: The laptop tray can tilt +35° to -35° to achieve optimal viewing angles.
• Swivel: The arm can swivel 180° at its base and the laptop tray can swivel 180° for flexible screen sharing or repositioning.
• Rotation: The laptop tray can rotate 360°, allowing for landscape or portrait orientation.

Ventilated Tray

The laptop tray features ventilation slots to promote airflow and help prevent your laptop from overheating during extended use. Rubber tabs on the tray and clamps protect your device from scratches and ensure stability.

• Arm does not hold position or sags: The arm tension may be too low for your laptop's weight. Increase the tension using the Allen wrench (refer to Step 6 of Installation). Ensure your laptop meets the minimum weight requirement of 2.2 lbs.
• Arm is too stiff to move: The arm tension may be too high. Decrease the tension using the Allen wrench (refer to Step 6 of Installation).
• Laptop is not secure on the tray: Ensure the adjustable side clamps are tightened firmly against the sides of your laptop. Verify that the laptop size is within the supported range (10" to 15.6").
• Mount feels unstable: Double-check that the desk clamp or grommet mount is securely fastened to your desk. Ensure your desk surface is sturdy and level.
