4. Setup

Upon receiving your Donner Lyre Harp, carefully remove it from its packaging. Inspect the instrument for any visible damage. Before playing, the lyre harp will need to be tuned. Refer to the 'Tuning' section for detailed instructions.

5. Tuning

Accurate tuning is crucial for optimal sound. The Donner DLH-002 is tuned to a C major scale, with strings corresponding to G3, A3, B3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, and B4 from lowest to highest.

5.1 Tuning Process:

2. Use the tuning wrench: Insert the tuning wrench onto the square end of each tuning pin.

• Finger Plucking: Use your fingertips or fingernails to pluck individual strings. This allows for precise melody playing.
• Using Picks: The included picks can be used for a brighter, louder sound, especially for strumming chords or playing faster passages.
• Damping: To prevent unwanted string resonance, use the palm of your non-plucking hand to gently mute the strings you are not playing.

7. Maintenance
