5. Setup
- Charge the Battery: Use the provided DEWALT charger to fully charge the 20V MAX Lithium-Ion battery.
- Connect Battery to Adapter: Slide the charged battery onto the DEWALT battery adapter.
- Insert Adapter into Jacket: Locate the battery pocket inside the jacket (typically on the lower back or side). Connect the adapter's power cord to the jacket's internal connector. Place the battery and adapter securely into the pocket and zip it closed.

The battery adapter also features a USB charging port, allowing you to charge portable electronic devices while the jacket is in use or when the battery is not powering the jacket.

6. Operation
- Power On: Press and hold the illuminated power button located on the left chest of the jacket for approximately 2 seconds. The button will flash red, indicating the jacket is in warm-up mode.
- Adjust Heat Settings: Briefly press the power button to cycle through the heat settings:
- Red (Solid): High Heat
- White (Solid): Medium Heat
- Blue (Solid): Low Heat
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds until the light turns off.

7. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and performance of your heated jacket, follow these care instructions:
- Machine Wash: The jacket is machine washable. Always remove the battery and adapter before washing.
- Follow the specific washing instructions on the garment's care label.
- Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
- Hang dry or tumble dry on low heat.

If your jacket is not heating or experiencing issues, consider the following:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly connected to the adapter.
- Verify the adapter is securely plugged into the jacket's internal connector.
- Check the power button for any flashing lights or error indicators.
