Connection Instructions

Switching Inputs and Outputs

The OREI UHD-404 allows you to independently route any of the four HDMI inputs to any of the four HDMI outputs. This can be done using the front panel buttons or the included remote control.

Downscale Functionality

This means if you have a 4K source and a 1080p display, the matrix can automatically downscale the 4K signal to 1080p for that specific display, while simultaneously sending the full 4K signal to other 4K-capable displays. This ensures compatibility across various display resolutions.

The downscaling is automatic based on the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information received from the connected display. Ensure your displays are properly connected and powered on for accurate EDID detection.

EDID Management

The EDID setting on the unit helps manage how the source device outputs its video and audio signals.
