4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Y.D.F AR001 USB Audio Interface:

1. Connect to Computer: First, connect the USB-C cable (included in the package) to the USB-C port on the audio interface and then to a compatible USB port on your computer. Ensure your computer's USB port can supply power and transmit data normally.
2. Initial Knob Adjustment: Adjust the three main control knobs (GAIN 1, GAIN 2, MONITOR) to at least the middle position.
3. Activate Functions: Click the three touch keys (48V, INST, MONITOR) to ensure all functions are turned on.
4. Connect Inputs/Outputs: Plug in your XLR microphone cable and headphone cable as needed to begin your recording or monitoring session.

Note: This audio interface does not include DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) recording software. You will need to download and install your preferred recording software separately.

• Input 1 (XLR/TRS Combo Jack): Connect microphones (XLR) or line-level instruments (TRS).

• No Power/Connection: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the interface and a functioning USB port on your computer that provides sufficient power and data transfer.
• No Audio Input: Check that your microphone or instrument is properly connected to the correct input jack. Verify that the GAIN knob for the respective input is turned up. If using a condenser microphone, ensure 48V phantom power is activated. Confirm that the correct audio input device is selected in your computer's sound settings and your DAW.
• No Audio Output: Check that your headphones or studio monitors are correctly connected to the output jacks. Ensure the MONITOR knob is turned up. Verify that the correct audio output device is selected in your computer's sound settings and your DAW.
• Distorted Audio: If the input signal is clipping (indicated by a red light on the GAIN knob), reduce the input gain. Ensure your microphone or instrument is not too loud.
• Software Not Recognizing Interface: Restart your computer and the audio interface. Ensure your DAW software is up-to-date and correctly configured to use the Y.D.F AR001 as its audio device.
