5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and lifespan of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning: The seamless stainless steel interior can be cleaned with a soft brush or sponge. For stubborn stains or mineral deposits, use a descaling solution.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling solution. Boil the mixture, then let it stand for 30 minutes to an hour. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Filter Cleaning: The removable filter can be gently rinsed under running water. Ensure it is dry before reinserting.
