2. Operating

2.1 Main Page Introduction

The main display provides comprehensive information about the power supply's status and output. The default display is the classic style, showing key values in large, clear fonts.

The main page displays time, button prompt tone status, keypad lock status, and communication interface status. In the middle, you can see the actual output voltage, current, and power values, as well as the input voltage, and output voltage/current preset values. At the bottom, the data group number, constant voltage/current mode indication, protection status, and battery charging information are displayed.

2.2 Output Voltage/Current Quick Setting

To set the output current value, press the I-SET button. You can then turn the encoder potentiometer to directly adjust the output value. Use the left and right arrow buttons to change the cursor position for precise adjustments. Alternatively, you can use the keypad to enter the desired current value and press ENTER to confirm. If you enter a wrong value by mistake, click the encoder potentiometer to cancel. The same method applies to setting the output voltage value using the V-SET button.

2.3 Over-voltage/Over-current Protection Quick Setting

To set the over-voltage protection value, press SHIFT + V-SET. Press ENTER to confirm. You can use the same method to set the over-current protection value by pressing SHIFT + I-SET.

2.4 Battery Charging Operation

After power-on, the battery-related information display area will loop through external temperature, capacity, and energy. When there is output current, capacity and energy are automatically accumulated and cleared after shutdown. Ensure the green terminal is connected to the positive pole of the battery and the black terminal to the negative pole. After correct connection, the battery charging indicator turns red. Press ON/OFF to start charging; the indicator turns green. If the actual output current is lower than 10mA, the output will shut down automatically. Batteries with a protection board may not be charged. The charging voltage and current should be set by the user.

2.5 Data Group Quick Store/Call Out

To save the current settings data to a data group, press the MEM button and then a number button. Press ENTER to confirm, or press the encoder potentiometer to cancel. To call out setting data from a corresponding data group, press the SHIFT button and a number button. Press ENTER to confirm or the encoder potentiometer to cancel.

2.6 Keypad Lock

You can lock or unlock the keypad by pressing the SHIFT and LOCK buttons simultaneously. If the keypad is locked, pressing any key will not register input until unlocked.

2.7 Menu Page

To enter the system setting menu, press SHIFT + MENU. Use the direction buttons to move the cursor to the desired option. Use the encoder potentiometer to change settings. Options include:

  • Call OK: Confirms data group call out.
  • Call Out: Outputs directly when calling out a data group.
  • Power On: Sets output status when powered on.
  • Beeper: Toggles button sound.
  • Logo: Toggles boot logo display.
  • Language: Sets system language (Simplified Chinese/English).
  • Backlight: Adjusts screen brightness (Level 0-5).
  • Interface: Sets communication interface (USB/WIFI/TTL). If changed, RD6018 needs to restart.
  • Baudrate: Adjustable only under USB mode.
  • Address: Device address (001-255).
  • Date-Time: Set date and time.
  • Measure: Output U/I/P refresh rate.

2.8 Main Page Display Style

Press the right direction button to navigate to the next page, where you can set the display style. There are two display styles: Traditional Style (default, shows voltage/current/power in large font) and Curve Style (shows voltage/current/power curve on one page).
