The Catharine wall sconce features a white metal design with a pivoting head and a convenient pull switch, suitable for various interior spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and kitchens. It requires one E14 bulb (not included).

2. Safety Instructions

• Electrical Safety: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician or competent person in accordance with local electrical codes. Always disconnect power at the main circuit breaker before installation, maintenance, or bulb replacement.
• Voltage: This fixture is designed for 230 Volt electrical systems. Ensure your power supply matches this requirement.
• Bulb Type: Use only E14 base bulbs. Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 28 Watts per light.
• Indoor Use Only: This product is rated IP20, meaning it is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no protection against water. Do not install in wet or damp locations.

5. Setup and Installation

Before you begin: Ensure the power supply to the installation area is turned off at the main circuit breaker. Gather all necessary tools (screwdriver, drill, wire strippers, etc.).

5.1 Mounting the Fixture

1. Prepare the Wall: Mark the desired mounting location on the wall. Use the mounting bracket (part of the fixture) as a template to mark the drill holes.
2. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. Insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes.
3. Connect Wiring: Carefully connect the household electrical wires to the corresponding terminals on the fixture's wiring block. Ensure proper polarity (Live, Neutral, Earth). If unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
4. Secure Fixture: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Then, secure the lamp base to the mounting bracket.

5.2 Installing the Bulb

1. Ensure power is still off.
2. Carefully screw an E14 base bulb (max 28W) into the lamp holder. Do not overtighten.
3. Restore power at the main circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Turning the Light On/Off

The Hofstein Catharine wall sconce is equipped with a pull switch for easy operation.

• To turn the light ON, gently pull the chain downwards until you hear a click and the light illuminates.
• To turn the light OFF, pull the chain downwards again.

6.2 Adjusting the Light Direction

The lamp head is pivotable, allowing you to direct the light as needed.

• Gently hold the metal shade and pivot it to the desired angle. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the joint.
