2.2 Pre-Installation Checklist

2.3 Unpacking and Positioning

Carefully remove the bathtub from its box. It is recommended that the bathtub is carried by a minimum of two people. Ensure to carry and set down the bathtub only in the upside-down position to prevent damage. Gently place the bathtub in the upside-down position on a tarp or cardboard sheet in order to avoid contact with any rough surface.

2.4 Clawfoot Assembly

Remove the safety caps from the bolts on the bathtub. Refer to the diagram below for a quick overview of how to assemble the claw feet. For further details, please refer to the installation instructions to determine which claw feet are applicable to your bathtub model. Make sure to check that you have received the correct amount of bolts and nuts.

Once the claw feet have been installed, check to ensure that they are aligned properly with the bathtub and are sitting snug against the bathtub. Use a wrench to tighten all of the nuts.

2.5 Drain Installation

Take the strainer, place silicone sealant around it, and then place it into the drain hole ensuring a tight connection with the drain ell and gasket. Use silicone sealant. DO NOT use plumber's putty to seal. Insert the tailpiece into the trap inlet using the O-ring, coupling nut, and flange. The tailpiece may need to be cut for proper fit; 1 to 2 inches of the tailpiece should fit inside the trap. Slip the flange over the tailpiece and slide down to the floor. Assemble the tee section to the tailpiece, overflow, and drain ell using the coupling nuts and O-rings that are provided. Attach the tapered rubber gasket to the overflow ell. Align the overflow ell with the overflow hole and secure the drain to the tub with the provided screw and overflow plate. Make sure a watertight seal exists on all drain connections. Seal the connection by using a PVC pipe sealant to join the parts together.

3. Operating Instructions

To use your Streamline Clawfoot Bathtub, simply fill it with water to your desired level. The generous 48-gallon capacity allows for deep, full-body immersion. Ensure the drain stopper is securely closed before filling. After use, open the drain stopper to empty the tub. The internal drain is designed for efficient water drainage.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Clean your acrylic bathtub regularly with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive, mild bathroom cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, or strong solvents, as these can damage the glossy finish and acrylic surface. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.

4.2 Drain Care

Periodically check the internal drain for any hair or debris buildup to ensure proper drainage. Clean as needed to maintain optimal performance.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Leaks

If you notice any leaks, first check all drain connections to ensure they are tight and properly sealed with silicone sealant. If the leak persists, consult a licensed plumber.

5.2 Slow Drainage

Slow drainage is typically caused by a clog in the drain. Remove the drain stopper and clear any visible obstructions. If the issue continues, a plumber may be required to clear the drainpipe.
