3. Setup

3.1 Powering On the Device

The LEMEGA IR1 can be powered by the included AC adapter or by 4 AA batteries (not included) for portable use.

  1. Using AC Power: Connect the AC power adapter to the DC 5V input port on the back of the radio and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  2. Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the radio. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment.
  3. Press the POWER/VOLUME knob to turn on the radio.

3.2 Initial Configuration

Upon first use, the radio will guide you through an initial setup wizard.

  1. Language Selection: Use the VOLUME knob to scroll through languages and press to confirm.
  2. Time and Date: Set the time and date manually or allow the radio to update automatically via DAB/FM signals or network time.
  3. Network Connection (Wi-Fi): For Internet Radio functionality, you must connect the device to a Wi-Fi network.
    • Select 'Network Wizard' or 'Scan Network'.
    • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list.
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password using the VOLUME knob to select characters and the BACK button to delete. Press the VOLUME knob to confirm.
    • The radio will attempt to connect. Once connected, a Wi-Fi icon will appear on the display.

4. Operating Modes

Press the SOURCE button to switch between different operating modes.

4.1 Internet Radio

Access over 30,000 Internet radio stations from around the world.

  1. Select 'Internet Radio' from the source menu.
  2. You can browse stations by location, genre, or use the search function.
  3. Use the VOLUME knob to navigate and select stations.

4.2 DAB/DAB+ Digital Radio

Enjoy high-quality digital radio broadcasts.

  1. Select 'DAB Radio' from the source menu.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations.
  3. Use the VOLUME knob to scroll through the station list and select your desired station.

4.3 FM Radio

Tune into traditional FM radio stations.

  1. Select 'FM Radio' from the source menu.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for available FM stations.
  3. Use the VOLUME knob to scroll through the station list or manually tune to a frequency.

4.4 Bluetooth Mode

Stream audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Select 'Bluetooth' from the source menu. The radio will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'LEMEGA IR1' from the list to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.

5. Features

5.1 Presets

The radio allows you to save up to 60 favorite stations (40 for DAB/FM, 20 for Internet Radio) for quick access.

  1. To Save a Preset: While listening to a station, press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1, 2, 3+) until 'Preset Saved' appears on the display. For presets 4-60, press and hold the '3+' button, then use the VOLUME knob to select a preset number and press to confirm.
  2. To Recall a Preset: Briefly press the corresponding numbered preset button (1, 2, 3+) to tune to the saved station.

5.2 Dual Alarms

Set two independent alarms to wake you up with your favorite station or a buzzer.

  1. Press the MENU button and navigate to 'Alarms'.
  2. Select 'Alarm 1' or 'Alarm 2'.
  3. Configure the alarm time, source (Internet Radio, DAB, FM, or Buzzer), volume, and frequency (Daily, Weekdays, Weekends, Once).
  4. Ensure the alarm is set to 'On'.

5.3 Sleep Timer

Set a timer for the radio to automatically turn off after a specified duration.

  1. Press the MENU button and navigate to 'Sleep Timer'.
  2. Select the desired sleep duration (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes). The radio will turn off automatically after this time.

5.4 Headphone Output

Connect headphones to the 3.5mm jack on the back of the radio for private listening.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LEMEGA IR1 radio, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: If using batteries, remove them if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
  • Placement: Avoid placing the radio in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity or dust.
  • Antenna: Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal DAB/DAB+ and FM reception.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your LEMEGA IR1, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
