Setup Guide

1. Unpack the Humidifier: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and place them on a flat, stable surface. Remove any protective materials.
2. Position the Humidifier: Place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least 12 inches (30 cm) from any walls and 3 feet (0.9 m) from any furniture or appliances. Ensure the mist outlet is not directed at walls or furniture.
3. Fill the Water Tank: The TotalComfort Plus features a convenient top-fill design. Remove the top cover and fill the 1.4-gallon (5.3L) water tank directly with clean, cool tap water. Do not fill with hot water or add essential oils directly into the water tank.

4. Insert Demineralization Cartridge: If desired, insert the included demineralization cartridge into its designated slot in the water tank to help reduce mineral buildup.
5. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a 110-volt AC electrical outlet.

Power On/Off

Press the Power Button () to turn the unit on or off. The humidifier will start operating in cool mist mode by default.

Mist Output Control

Adjust the mist intensity using the rotary dial on the front panel. Turn the dial clockwise to increase mist output and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The humidifier provides up to 65 hours of continuous runtime on a single fill, depending on the mist setting.

Control the mist output to your preferred level for optimal humidification.

Warm or Cool Mist Selection

Press the Mist Temperature Button () to switch between cool mist and warm mist. The warm mist setting helps reduce bacteria in the mist after 40 minutes of continuous operation on the low mist setting, as shown by independent laboratory testing.

Night-Light Feature

Activate the built-in colored night-light by pressing the Night-Light Button (). This feature provides a soft glow, perfect for nighttime use.

Auto-Off Timer

Set the humidifier to automatically turn off after a specified period by pressing the Timer Button (). You can choose from 2, 4, or 8-hour settings. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is empty, ensuring safety.

Aromatherapy Benefits

To enjoy aromatherapy, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to one of the included essential oil pads located in the tray. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Daily Maintenance

• Empty the water tank and reservoir daily.
• Wipe down the tank and reservoir with a clean, dry cloth.

Weekly Cleaning

1. Descaling the Tank and Reservoir:
   • Unplug the humidifier and remove the top cover and water tank.
   • Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the water tank and reservoir.
   • Let it soak for 20 minutes.
   • Clean the internal components with a soft brush or cloth.
   • Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the smell of vinegar is gone.
2. Cleaning the Transducer: The transducer is the small disc that creates the mist. Gently wipe it with a soft cloth or cotton swab. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
3. Clean Tank Technology: The humidifier features Clean Tank Technology, which helps protect the tank from mold and mildew. However, regular manual cleaning is still recommended.
