6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off and Forward/Reverse
- Power On: Press the continuous speed trigger to start the drill. The speed is variable based on trigger pressure.
- Power Off: Release the trigger.
- Forward/Reverse: Use the forward/reverse switch located above the trigger to select the rotation direction. Push left for forward (drilling/screwing in) and right for reverse (screwing out). Center position locks the trigger for safety.
6.2 Speed Settings
The drill features a 2-speed gearbox for different applications.
- Low Speed (0-450 RPM): Select gear '1' for high torque applications like driving screws or drilling large holes in soft materials.
- High Speed (0-1700 RPM): Select gear '2' for fast drilling in wood or metal.

Image 6.1: The two-speed gearbox allows for low (0-450 RPM) and high (0-1700 RPM) speed settings.
6.3 Torque Settings
The torque adjustment ring allows you to select from 21+3 torque settings to prevent over-tightening screws or damaging materials.
- Rotate the torque adjustment ring to the desired setting. Lower numbers are for smaller screws or softer materials, higher numbers for larger screws or harder materials.
- The 'Drill' symbol (drill bit icon) is for drilling without torque clutch.
- The 'Hammer' symbol (hammer icon) is for impact drilling in masonry.

6.4 Operating Modes (Drill, Impact, Screw)
The TDHD01P offers three primary operating modes:
- Drilling Mode: For drilling holes in wood, metal, and plastics. Set the torque ring to the drill symbol.
- Impact Drilling Mode: For drilling in concrete and masonry. Set the torque ring to the hammer symbol.
- Screwing Mode: For driving and removing screws. Set the torque ring to a numerical setting (1-21) appropriate for the screw size and material.

Image 6.4: The drill can be used for concrete drilling (hammer mode), wood/metal drilling (drill mode), and screwing (screwdriver mode).

6.5 Using the Flexible Shaft Driver
The included flexible shaft driver allows you to reach screws or drill in tight, awkward spaces.
- Insert the flexible shaft into the drill chuck as you would a regular drill bit.
- Attach the desired screwdriver bit or small drill bit to the end of the flexible shaft.
- Operate the drill at a low speed for better control when using the flexible shaft.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your drill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drill does not start | Battery not charged or improperly installed; Forward/Reverse switch in center (locked) position. | Charge battery and ensure it is securely installed; Move Forward/Reverse switch to forward or reverse position. |
| Loss of power during operation | Battery low; Overload. | Recharge battery; Reduce pressure or use a lower speed/higher torque setting. |
| Bit slips in chuck | Chuck not tightened sufficiently; Bit shank is dirty or damaged. | Retighten chuck firmly; Clean or replace bit. |
| Excessive vibration | Bent drill bit; Loose chuck. | Replace bent bit; Tighten chuck securely. |
