- Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. If you have a dual-band router, temporarily disable the 5GHz band during setup if experiencing issues.
- Verify a strong Wi-Fi signal at the plug's location.
- Confirm the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the app.
- Try resetting the smart plug by pressing and holding the manual ON/OFF button for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes quickly, then repeat until it flashes slowly, or follow the app's reset instructions.
- Place the router, smartphone, and device as close as possible during the initial connection process.
- Voice control not working:
- Ensure your UltraPro account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account via the UltraPro app's "Support" section.
- Verify that the smart speaker is online and functioning correctly.
- Check the device name in the UltraPro app and use that exact name in your voice commands.
- Schedules or automations not activating:
- Confirm that the schedules or automations are correctly configured and enabled in the UltraPro app.
- For location-based automations, ensure location services are enabled for the UltraPro app on your smartphone.
- For weather-based automations, ensure the app has access to weather data for your location.
- Plug blocking adjacent outlet:
- The UltraPro Smart Plug is designed to be compact, but in some duplex receptacles, it may still partially obstruct the second outlet. Consider using it in a power strip or a single outlet if this is an issue.
