5. Setup
5.1. Placement
Place the chiller on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated indoor area. Ensure at least 6 inches of clearance around all sides, especially the fan vents, for optimal airflow and heat dissipation.
5.2. Water Connection
- Connect the water inlet (marked "INLET") of the chiller to the water outlet of your laser equipment using the provided tubing.
- Connect the water outlet (marked "OUTLET") of the chiller to the water inlet of your laser equipment.
- Secure all connections with hose clamps to prevent leaks.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Powering On/Off
Flip the power switch on the front panel to the "ON" position to start the chiller. The temperature controller display will light up. To turn off, flip the switch to the "OFF" position.
6.2. Temperature Control
The CW-3000 features an intelligent temperature controller (T-503D) with both intelligent and constant temperature modes. The default setting is typically intelligent mode, which automatically adjusts the water temperature based on ambient conditions. To adjust the temperature settings:
- Press the "SET" button to enter the setting mode.
- Use the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys to adjust the desired water temperature.
- Press "SET" again to confirm and save the setting.
Video 2: This video provides instructions on how to adjust the temperature settings on the S&A Industrial Water Chiller's temperature controller. It demonstrates navigating the menu and changing the set temperature.
6.3. Alarm Functions
The chiller is equipped with built-in safety alarms to protect the unit and connected equipment. These include water flow alarms and over-temperature alarms. When an alarm is triggered, an error code will be displayed on the temperature controller, and an audible alert may sound. Refer to the troubleshooting section for specific alarm codes and resolutions.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your chiller:
- Water Replacement: Change the water every 1-3 months, depending on usage and water quality. Always use distilled or deionized water.
- Water Level Check: Periodically check the water level indicator and refill as needed to maintain the "NORMAL" range.
- Cleaning: Keep the cooling fan and ventilation grilles free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean them. Some models may have a removable dust gauze for easier cleaning.
- Drainage: To drain the water, disconnect power, place a container under the drain port, and open the drain valve.
