3.1. Components

• 1.39-inch AMOLED Display: Touch-sensitive screen for interaction.
• Top Button: Typically used for accessing the app list or returning to the home screen.
• Bottom Button: Customizable shortcut button, often used for workout modes.
• Heart Rate Sensor: Located on the back, for continuous heart rate monitoring.

4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Device

1. Connect the charging cable to the charging cradle.
2. Align the metal contacts on the back of the watch with the charging pins on the cradle. The watch will magnetically snap into place.
3. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a USB power adapter (5V/1A recommended) or a computer's USB port.
4. The watch display will indicate charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

4.2. Powering On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the Top Button until the HONOR logo appears.
• Power Off: From the home screen, press the Top Button to access the app list, then navigate to "Settings" > "System" > "Power off". Alternatively, press and hold the Top Button, then select "Power off" from the options.

4.3. Pairing with Your Smartphone

1. Download and install the "Huawei Health" app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
2. Open the Huawei Health app and log in with your Huawei ID, or create a new one.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
4. In the Huawei Health app, go to "Devices" and tap "Add device" or the "+" icon.
5. Select "Smart watches" and choose "HONOR Watch GS Pro" from the list.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app and on your watch to complete the pairing process. Confirm the pairing request on both devices.

5. Operating the Watch

5.1. Basic Navigation

• Swipe Up/Down: View notifications or quick settings.
• Swipe Left/Right: Cycle through widgets like heart rate, activity records, weather, etc.
• Tap: Select an item or open an application.
• Press Top Button: Return to the home screen or open the app list.
• Press Bottom Button: Access a pre-set shortcut, typically workout modes.

5.2. Key Features

• GPS: The built-in GPS provides accurate location tracking for outdoor activities. Ensure GPS is enabled in settings for precise route mapping.
• Heart Rate Monitoring: The optical sensor continuously monitors your heart rate. View real-time data on the watch or in the Huawei Health app.
• Sports Modes: Access over 100 workout modes, including running, cycling, swimming, hiking, and more. Select a mode before starting an activity to track relevant metrics.
• 5ATM Water Resistance: The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters, suitable for swimming and shallow water activities. Avoid hot water, steam, or high-velocity water.
• Notifications: Receive notifications from your smartphone directly on your watch. Manage notification settings through the Huawei Health app.
• Bluetooth Calling: Make and receive calls directly from your watch when connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

• Regularly clean the watch and strap with a soft, damp cloth.
• Ensure the charging contacts and heart rate sensor area are free from dirt and sweat to maintain optimal performance.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.

6.2. Water Resistance

The HONOR Watch GS Pro has a 5ATM water resistance rating. This means it can withstand pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters. It is suitable for:

• Shallow-water activities, such as swimming in a pool or ocean.
• Wearing in the rain or during hand washing.

It is not suitable for:

• Scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depths.
• Exposure to hot water, steam, or detergents, which may compromise the water seal.

After exposure to water, dry the watch thoroughly before charging or using buttons.

7. Troubleshooting

• Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the charging cradle and power source for at least 10 minutes.
• Cannot pair with smartphone:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  • Make sure the watch is within Bluetooth range of your phone.
  • Restart both your watch and smartphone.
  • Ensure the Huawei Health app is updated to the latest version.
  • If previously paired, try unpairing and re-pairing the devices.
• Inaccurate heart rate readings:
  • Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, not too loose or too tight.
  • Clean the heart rate sensor on the back of the watch.
  • Avoid excessive movement during measurement.
• Short battery life:
  • Disable features like Always-On Display if not needed.
  • Reduce screen brightness.
  • Limit continuous heart rate monitoring or GPS usage if not required.
  • Close background applications on the watch.
