- Wire strippers/crimpers (if not using pre-terminated wires)
- Fight stick enclosure
- Joystick and pushbuttons
- Compatible wiring harness (e.g., Brook Fighting Board Cable, sold separately)
- USB cable (Type-B to Type-A)
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Enclosure: Ensure your fight stick enclosure is open and all existing wiring is disconnected or removed if you are replacing an old PCB.
- Mount the UFB: Securely mount the Brook UFB inside the enclosure using appropriate screws or standoffs. Ensure it is placed in a location that allows for easy access to its screw terminals and USB port.
- Connect Joystick: Connect the 5-pin joystick harness to the J3 connector on the UFB. Ensure correct orientation.
- Connect Buttons: Connect each pushbutton's signal wire to its corresponding screw terminal (e.g., 1P, 2P, 3P, 4P, etc.) on the UFB. Connect all ground wires from the buttons and joystick to the GND terminals. The UFB's screw terminal block facilitates easy connections without soldering.
- Connect USB: Plug a USB Type-B cable into the UFB's USB port and route the other end (Type-A) out of the enclosure to connect to your console or PC.
- Close Enclosure: Once all connections are verified, carefully close and secure your fight stick enclosure.

Automatic Console Detection:
Simply connect your fight stick to the desired console (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) via the USB cable. The UFB will automatically detect the console and configure itself for use.
Manual Console Selection:
For certain consoles (Wii U, PS Classic, MD mini) or if automatic detection fails, you can manually select the console mode by holding specific buttons during power-up:
- PS4: Hold 1P (Light Punch) button.
- PS3: Hold 1K (Light Kick) button.
- Xbox One: Hold 2P (Medium Punch) button.
- Xbox 360: Hold 2K (Medium Kick) button.
- Wii U: Hold 3P (Heavy Punch) button.
- PS Classic / MD Mini: Hold 3K (Heavy Kick) button.
