4.2 Pairing (Synchronization)

The transmitter and receiver should automatically sync once batteries are installed. If they do not sync, or if you need to re-sync, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the batteries from the transmitter (floating unit).
  2. On the receiver, press and hold the 'CH/R' key for 5 seconds to reset it.
  3. Re-insert the batteries into the transmitter. Press and hold the 'TX' key on the transmitter for 5 seconds to transmit the signal. The blue light on the transmitter will flash.
  4. The receiver should now display the temperature from the transmitter.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Reading Temperatures

Once synchronized, the receiver will display the water temperature from the floating unit (labeled 'WATER TEMP CH') and the indoor temperature and humidity (labeled 'IN'). The floating unit also has a small display for direct reading.

5.2 Switching Temperature Units (Celsius/Fahrenheit)

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) on the floating thermometer unit:

  1. Unscrew the top cover of the floating thermometer unit.
  2. Locate the 'CLEAR/C/F' button inside the unit.
  3. Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to switch the temperature unit.
  4. Securely re-tighten the top cover.

Note: The transmitter (floating unit) and the receiver will NOT synchronize units automatically. You may need to adjust both if you change the unit on one.

5.3 Monitoring Multiple Transmitters

One receiver can synchronize with up to three separate floating thermometer units simultaneously. This allows you to monitor temperatures in different locations (e.g., pool, hot tub, pond) from a single receiver. Use the 'CH/R' button on the receiver to cycle through the channels.

6. Maintenance

  • Waterproofing: Always ensure the cover of the floating unit is tightly secured after battery installation or any adjustments to prevent water ingress. The unit is IPX7 waterproof when properly sealed.
  • Cleaning: The product is designed for hand washing only. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the receiver unit in water.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the transmitter and receiver when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure continuous and accurate readings.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Reading/Disconnection: If the receiver shows no reading or loses connection, first check the batteries in both units and replace if necessary. Then, attempt the pairing/synchronization steps outlined in Section 4.2. Ensure both units are within the 300-foot transmission range and there are no significant obstructions.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify that the floating unit is fully submerged in the water and not partially exposed to air. Ensure the unit is clean and free of debris that might affect the sensor.
  • Water Inside Floating Unit: If you observe moisture or water inside the floating unit, immediately remove the batteries and allow the unit to dry completely. This often indicates the cover was not tightened sufficiently. Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated and the cover is firmly screwed on to prevent future leaks.
