Operating Instructions

Using your IMUSA slow cooker is straightforward. Follow these steps for optimal cooking results:

  1. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients into the ceramic pot. Ensure the pot is not overfilled; leave at least one inch of space from the rim.
  2. Place Lid: Cover the ceramic pot with the glass lid.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the slow cooker into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.
  4. Select Temperature: Turn the control dial to your desired setting:
    • LOW: For slow cooking over a longer period, typically 6-8 hours.
    • HIGH: For faster cooking, typically 3-4 hours.
    • WARM: To keep cooked food at a serving temperature. Do not use the WARM setting for cooking raw food.
  5. Cooking: The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is on. Allow the food to cook for the recommended time. Avoid lifting the lid frequently, as this releases heat and extends cooking time.
  6. Serving: Once cooking is complete, turn the dial to 'OFF' or 'WARM' if you wish to keep the food warm. Use oven mitts or pot holders when handling the hot ceramic pot. The ceramic pot can be removed and used as a serving dish.
  7. Disconnect: After use, turn the dial to 'OFF' and unplug the slow cooker from the outlet.
