1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the NPET 6L Automatic Pet Feeder. This device is designed to provide scheduled and portion-controlled meals for your pets, ensuring they are fed consistently even when you are away. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper setup and operation.

2. Product Components

The NPET 6L Automatic Pet Feeder consists of several key components:

  • Main Feeder Unit: Contains the control panel, motor, and food dispensing mechanism.
  • Food Hopper: A 6-liter container for storing dry pet food.
  • Food Tray: Collects dispensed food for your pet.
  • Lid: Secures the food hopper.
  • AC Power Adapter: For primary power supply.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking and Assembly

  1. Remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Place the main feeder unit on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Attach the food tray to the base of the feeder. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  4. Open the lid of the food hopper.

3.2 Power Supply

The feeder supports a dual power system for reliable operation:

  • AC Adapter (Primary Power): Connect the AC power adapter to the feeder's power port and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  • Battery Backup (Optional): For uninterrupted operation during power outages, install 3 x D-size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit.

It is recommended to use both AC power and battery backup to ensure continuous feeding.

3.3 Filling the Food Container

  1. Open the top lid of the food hopper.
  2. Pour dry pet food into the hopper. Ensure the food is suitable for automatic feeders (kibble size should not exceed 15mm).
  3. Close the lid firmly. Press down on the locking mechanism to secure it, preventing accidental spills and keeping food fresh.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel allows you to program and manage the feeder's functions. Refer to the diagram below for button identification:

  • Meal Buttons (1ST, 2ND, 3RD, 4TH): Select which meal to program.
  • ON/OFF Button: Activates or deactivates a programmed meal.
  • MEAL SIZE Button: Adjusts the portion size for a selected meal.
  • HOUR (H) Button: Sets the hour for the current time or a meal time.
  • MINUTE (M) Button: Sets the minute for the current time or a meal time.
  • RECORD Button: Initiates voice recording.
  • PLAY Button: Plays back the recorded voice message.
  • MANUAL Button: Dispenses food manually.
  • TIME Display: Shows current time and programmed meal times.
  • LOW BATTERY Indicator: Lights up when battery power is low.
  • FEEDING Indicator: Lights up during food dispensing.

4.2 Setting Current Time

  1. Press and hold the 'H' button to set the hour.
  2. Press and hold the 'M' button to set the minute.
  3. Release the buttons when the desired time is displayed.

4.3 Programming Feeding Schedule

You can program up to 4 meals per day, with 1 to 39 portions per meal (approximately 5g per portion).

  1. Press one of the Meal Buttons (1ST, 2ND, 3RD, or 4TH) to select a meal slot.
  2. Use the 'H' and 'M' buttons to set the desired feeding time for that meal.
  3. Press the 'MEAL SIZE' button repeatedly to adjust the number of portions (1-39).
  4. Press the 'ON/OFF' button to activate or deactivate the selected meal. The meal indicator will light up when active.
  5. Repeat for other meal slots as needed.

4.4 Voice Recording

The feeder allows you to record a 10-second voice message to call your pet at meal times.

  1. Press and hold the 'RECORD' button. The recording indicator will light up.
  2. Speak your message clearly into the microphone.
  3. Release the 'RECORD' button to save the message.
  4. Press the 'PLAY' button to listen to your recorded message.

The recorded message will play 3 times by default at each scheduled meal time. You can configure it to play up to 5 times.

4.5 Manual Feeding

To dispense food immediately, press the 'MANUAL' button. One portion will be dispensed each time the button is pressed.

  3. Open and remove the top lid.

  • Main Feeder Unit: The main body of the feeder should not be immersed in water. Use a damp cloth (wrung out) to wipe it clean.
  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the cereal bucket and feeding tray regularly to prevent food residue buildup.

7. Troubleshooting
