3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Panel Cut-out and Mounting
The hour meter is designed for easy drill-in and snap-in mounting. Prepare a panel cut-out with the specified dimensions:
- Width: 37.50 mm (1.48 inches)
- Height: 24.50 mm (0.96 inches)
Insert the hour meter into the cut-out and secure it using the provided mounting bracket. Screws for securing the bracket are not included and must be prepared separately.

3.2 Power Connection
Connect the hour meter to an external AC power source between 110V and 250V. The two pins on the meter are not polarity-sensitive, meaning positive and negative connections are interchangeable.
- Direct Power Connection: Connect the meter directly to the power source for continuous operation when power is supplied.
- Switched Power Connection: Integrate a switch (e.g., ignition switch) between the power source and the meter to activate it only when the equipment is running.

4. Operating Instructions
Once properly installed and connected to a power source, the Runleader Mechanical Hour Meter will automatically begin accumulating total operating hours whenever the connected equipment is active. The display shows hours up to 99,999.9. The hour reading is permanent and cannot be reset, ensuring a reliable record of equipment usage.
5. Maintenance
The Runleader Mechanical Hour Meter is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. Its IP65 water resistance protects it from dust and water splashes. Periodically inspect the connections to ensure they remain secure. No user-serviceable parts are inside the unit.
6. Troubleshooting
If the hour meter is not functioning as expected, consider the following:
- No Display/No Accumulation: Verify that the power connections are secure and that the external power source (AC 110V-250V) is active and supplying power.
- Incorrect Reading: Ensure the meter is correctly installed and receiving consistent power when the equipment is in use. The meter is non-resettable, so previous readings are permanent.
