Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the thermometer.
  2. Slide the battery cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -). The device requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included.
  4. Close the battery cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

Initial Power On

Press the Start/Stop button to turn on the thermometer. The display will light up, and the device will perform a self-check before entering standby mode.

Operating Instructions

Selecting Measurement Mode (Body/Object)

The thermometer supports two measurement modes: Body Mode for human body temperature and Object Mode for surfaces, liquids, or room temperature. Press the Mode Selector button to switch between these modes. The selected mode will be indicated on the display.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the correct measurement mode (Body or Object) is selected.
  2. Point the thermometer's probe at the center of the forehead (for Body Mode) or the desired object/surface (for Object Mode) at a distance of 1-3 cm.
  3. Press the Start/Stop button. The measurement will be completed in approximately 1 second.
  4. The temperature reading will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  5. If measuring body temperature and the reading exceeds 99.5°F (37.5°C), the fever alarm will sound.

The thermometer provides a rapid 1-second reading. You can easily switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) by pressing the Temperature Unit Selector button.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 20 temperature readings. To access the memory, consult the device's display or refer to the specific button functions detailed in the "Parts Identification" section for memory recall.

Mute Mode

To activate or deactivate the mute mode, press and hold the Mute button (if available, or refer to specific button on device). When mute mode is active, the thermometer will not emit beeping sounds, which is useful for measuring temperature without disturbing sleeping individuals.

Care and Maintenance

  • Storage: Always keep the unit in its storage case when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
  • Cleaning: Clean the thermometer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any abrasive or volatile cleaners, as these can damage the device.
