1. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using this product. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Do not expose the monitor to rain or moisture.
• Do not open the monitor casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• Use only the power cord and adapter provided with the monitor.
• Ensure proper ventilation around the monitor.

3. Setup

3.1 Assembling the Stand

1. Place the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach the stand neck to the back of the monitor by aligning the tabs and pushing until it clicks into place.
3. Attach the stand base to the bottom of the stand neck and secure it with the captive screw.

3.2 Connecting the Monitor

Connect the monitor to your computer or other devices using the appropriate cables.

• Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the monitor's power input and then to a power outlet.
• Video Connection: Use the provided HDMI cable or a DisplayPort cable to connect your computer's video output to the corresponding input on the monitor.
• Audio Output: If desired, connect external speakers or headphones to the audio line-out port on the monitor.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the back of the monitor to turn it on or off. The power indicator light will illuminate when the monitor is on.

4.2 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

The monitor features a joystick-style button on the back for navigating the OSD menu. Press the joystick to open the OSD menu, then move it up/down/left/right to select and adjust settings.

4.3 Adjusting Display Settings

• Luminance: Adjust brightness and contrast levels.
• Color Setup: Modify color temperature, gamma, and individual RGB levels for accurate color reproduction.
• Game Setting: Access specific gaming features such as Game Mode (FPS, RTS, Racing), Shadow Control, Overdrive, and LowBlue Mode.
• Picture Boost: Enhance specific areas of the screen.
• OSD Setup: Configure OSD language, timeout, and transparency.
• Extra: Select input source, adjust volume, and other miscellaneous settings.

The monitor supports AOC LowBlue Mode and FlickerFree technology for reduced eye strain during extended use.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Monitor

• Always unplug the monitor before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
• Do not spray cleaner directly onto the screen.

5.2 General Care

• Avoid placing heavy objects on the monitor or its cables.
• Do not block the ventilation openings.
• If the monitor will not be used for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your monitor, refer to the following common solutions:

• No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet. Check the power indicator light.
• No Signal: Verify that the video cable (HDMI/DisplayPort) is correctly connected to both the monitor and your computer. Ensure the correct input source is selected in the OSD menu.
• Flickering/Ghosting: Adjust the Overdrive setting in the OSD Game Setting menu. Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date.
• Image Distortion: Check the display resolution and refresh rate settings on your computer to match the monitor's native resolution (1920x1080) and desired refresh rate (up to 144Hz).

8.1 RE-SPAWNED Warranty Program

The AOC G2490VX monitor is covered by the RE-SPAWNED warranty program, which includes:

• 3-Year Zero-Bright-Dot: If a bright dot or dead pixel develops within 3 years of purchase, it will be replaced for free.
• 3-Year Advance Replacement: If your monitor needs replacement, a new unit will be shipped as soon as the RMA is authorized, minimizing downtime.
• 1-Year Accidental Damage: Covers one accidental damage replacement within the first year of purchase.
